The one thing that makes memories of my childhood come alive is when I see a Toy that has been forgotten for years again in real life, to be able to not only see, but touch a tangable peace of your past as a boy. The best examples for me is Toy cars, die cast model cars. When I first experienced that feeling I knew I had to get more of it, and it started a hobby,a passion to try and collect those cars I had as a child. Obviously the majority that I could get my hands on was in a well used condition, some were just worn others were repainted so the natural next step was to start rebuilding and repainting them to as close as my originals was. This site is dedicated to those memories and people who share this passion, as for me it is about revisiting those sweet moments as a child with not a care in the world and only enjoying the game at hand with these model toy cars. On this site, I'm going to talk about my own methods on how I go about rebuilding and respraying and the type of die cast cars I am collecting. I'll give a bit of history on the subject itself, as well as some background on how I got involved in it. I might also include some instructions on how to perform my hobby, as well as any tips or tricks I've acquired through the years. And, of course, I'll include lots of pictures of the results of my hobby as well as pictures of cars from fellow collectors. Please sign my guestbook and let me know what you think of this site. Also feel free to contribute to this site with your own tips. |
